WAKE THE NATIONS (WTN)WTN serve international hard rock with respect for the 80’s. The album “sign of heart” is full of featuring artists from all over the globe. Killer songs are saturated with today’s pure sound and professional musicians behind their instruments - a setup that makes this record the coolest and the most diverse melodic hard rock album in years! WTN released their first album, full of fresh AOR songs with a twist of the 80’s melodic rock, in 2015. The musicians had a long history in rock music scene in finland, and finally felt like “coming home” with the new material. There was a bunch of guest stars on vocals since the band did not have a fixed front man (they were not supposed to tour anyway).But as they played their first gig (album release party in january 2015), it was evident that they would continue playing for live audience. “Sign of Heart” got its way to the top 50 of the official finnish chart in the first week after release. International flavour is compiled by Estef Martinez’s strong female performance, Dado Topić’s deep and unique vocals, bunch of finnish front-row heavy metal singers (e.g. Taage Laiho, Janne Hurme, Nils Nordling), as well as Alan Jackson’s and Oz Rivera’s unconventional lyrics, some to mention. As an example, Dado Topić is widely known and followed not only in his home country, but also in other parts of Europe (partly because of the Eurovision contest representation back in 2007). Dado won “the best rock singer and song writer during the past 40 years in Croatia “ -award in 2006. Soon Krister joined the band and WTN hit bigger stages as they were invited to play at one of the biggest festivals in Finland, dbtl 2015. they opened for Sunrise Avenue, and got some international interest after their show, especially in Germany. ever since, the band has played numerous gigs in Finland and toured Germany five times, as the current fanbase is mainly from german-speaking countries. in December 2016, WTN supported Dynazty during their tour in Finland.During the years 2016-2018, WTN wrote and recorded material for the next album”Heartrock”. It was done in cooperation with some of the best - for instance, Sören Kronqvist, Thomas Vikström, Erik Mårtensson, Ilkka Wirtanen, to name a few. ”Heartrock” will be released in 25th of January 2019 via record label called AOR HEAVEN (Germany).
